Toolmaking

The tool is The centerpiece of your quality.

From the initial filling analysis to the precision tool ready for series production: We combine toolmaking, plastic processing and in-house maintenance. This results in solutions that not only work on the first try, but are designed for a stable series.

From the idea to the series

Tool competence under one roof.

A good injection molding component does not start only at the machine. In the moldmaking department, we bring Geometry, material, tolerances, quantity and process Working together early on. Fill analyses and a clear view of later series production help to interpret tool concepts in a reliable way. It’s not about the fastest standard answer; it’s about the solution that is technically, economically, and permanently suitable for your component. From the initial idea to the serial production, the processes are short and the coordination is immediate.

Our machinery park is of course also impressive. Here are some facts:

  • Alzmetall GS8000/5-T
  • Mikron VCP800W
  • GF+Form2000
  • GF+CUT-E600
  • GF+Drill20

Maintenance, modifications and optimization

A tool lives with every hour of production. Therefore, we think not only about its production but also about its further performance. With in-house maintenance, targeted adjustments and optimizations, tools can be adapted to changed components, materials or production conditions.

The close connection between toolmaking and injection molding facilitates technical classification: What needs to be changed, what can remain, and which solution ensures the next series? In this way, maintenance becomes partly predictive quality assurance.

Cooperation instead of competition

Wage production with direct Contact person

Do you need additional capacity, individual tool components, or support for a manufacturing step? Filzwieser works based on drawing, data records, or joint coordination, and flexibly adds to existing structures. Our machine park includes CNC milling, as well as plunge, wire, and start hole drilling. What is crucial here is not only the manufacturing process itself, but also an understanding of its later use in the tool. We rely on cooperation rather than competition—with the ambition to jointly develop potential.

Frequently asked questions about toolmaking

We would be happy to answer all your questions personally. The answers to the most frequently asked questions have already been listed for you here in advance.

What services does Filzwieser provide in the field of toolmaking?

Filzwieser accompanies tools throughout their entire lifecycle – from the initial tool idea and fill analysis through to manufacturing, in-house maintenance, repair and optimization. Additionally, we undertake individual manufacturing steps and the production of tool components as part of contract manufacturing.

Yes. Existing tools can be maintained, repaired, modified, or technically optimized. Together, we review the condition of the tool, the current task, and the economically sensible approach. This often allows an existing solution to be further developed rather than building a completely new tool.

Drawings or CAD data, information about the component and material, as well as information about the quantity, tool type, and desired manufacturing step are helpful. In the case of maintenance, repairs, or modifications, existing tool documentation and a as precise a description of the current challenge as possible also help. If all the data is not yet available, we will discuss the next steps together.

Yes. Filzwieser supports companies with capacity shortages or for individual manufacturing steps – based on a drawing, data set, or common technical coordination. This can include the manufacture or customization of tool components, inserts, and spare parts. In doing so, we consider not only the machining process but also the subsequent use in the tool itself.

Your
contact person

Especially with technical solutions, direct communication is essential. We listen, ask the right questions, and guide you through the process with short steps – from the initial idea to the mass production of the product.
